Our Education and Training courses are approved and regulated by Ofqual (the UK Office of Qualifications and Exam Regulations). They provide a comprehensive analysis of teaching theory and method, and the opportunity to get a head start in a UK university degree or Master’s, or simply enhance a career in the education sector.


Education and Training Management Level 3 Diploma

At Level 3, this course provides practical knowledge, skills and competences that in academic terms are considered to be at the standard of a UK AS or A Level. Successful completion will stand a student in very good stead to begin a Level 4 teaching qualification or a university application.

This course develops students’ understanding of theory and practice in education, providing an opportunity to engage with the issues and challenges facing teaching professionals. Students will learn how to create effective resources, and how to approach different types of learner. Teaching skills will be enhanced, with students also gaining a good understanding of the education sector itself. Learners will be able to work in a variety of roles within education delivery, administration, or assessment following this course.

  • Evaluating education and training provision
  • Reflecting on own practice in education and training

Entry Requirements:

  • Learners must be 16 or above

  • The college does not specific entry requirements but reserves the right to verify the student has received an appropriate level of high school education thus far

  • If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country they must provide evidence of English language competency  

Education and Training Management Level 4 diploma

At Level 4, this course is considered equivalent to the first year of a UK undergraduate degree. The Diploma can be followed by a Level 5 Diploma, or followed by top-up at a UK University, in which students will be able to begin directly in second year. This course combines theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the areas of effective performance, planning and accountability, development and team working. It addresses the effective creation of learning resources and lessons, equipping the learner with the self-awareness required for constant self-improvement and career progression

Entry Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification at Level 3, or at AS/GCSE level Learners must be 18 years or older
  • Or, mature learners with management experience to be verified by the College English requirements: If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of English language competency

Education and training management Level 5 diploma

At Level 5, this course is considered equivalent to the second year of a UK undergraduate degree, and as such students may wish to go on to a top-up course at a UK university, entering directly into the 3rd year of their course. This course develops students’ understanding of policy, management theory and practice in education. The course content will develop knowledge and skills in the areas of leading change, effective performance, planning and accountability, development and team leadership. Learners are provided an opportunity to engage with the challenges facing professionals in the education sector and may use this course as a stepping-stone into education administration and/or management.

  • Professional Practice and Development in Education and Training

Entry Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification at Level 4, or an equivalent recognised qualification Learner must but 18 years or older at the start of the course
  • Or, mature learners with management experience to be verified by the college
  • English requirements: If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of English language competency

Education Management and Leadership Level 7 Diploma

As a Level 7 course, it is taught at the standard of a UK Master’s course, and enables learners to progress to a UK University to gain the additional credits required for a full MA, having already completed 120 out of the 180 required. This course provides the theoretical and practical knowledge that is crucial to success as an effective manager in the education sector, and enables the learner to lead change from a management position. It is ideal for anyone already working in the education sector who wishes to move into a leadership role, or anyone with a prior degree who wants to enter education management or administration.

Entry Requirements:

  • Students must possess an honours degree in a related subject or other UK Level 6 equivalent qualification.
  • Students must be 21 years or older at the beginning of the course Or, mature learners with relevant management experience to be verified by the college.
  • English requirements: If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of English language competency.
