Art Courses
CREATIVE FASHION DESIGN COURSES
The Short Course in Pattern Cutting is designed in order to introduce the basic aspects of pattern making. Throughout the duration of the course students will be introduced by industry professionals to the fundamentals of pattern cutting and will be shown how to use pattern cutting tools effectively. By the end of the course students will have gained a confident understanding on creating a basic bodice block as well as translating a style into a finished pattern.
ONLINE DOCUMENTARY AND INNOVATIVE STORYTELLING
What does it take to become an excellent documentary maker in the digital age? How to create unparalleled storytelling that stands out on the internet and provokes inspiration and debate? How to start and develop a successful career as a documentary maker or use the genre to better engage an audience whom you value the most? The course offers comprehensive guide and hands-on practice, from idea development, storytelling skills, technical training in camera, sound and editing techniques, to production management, funding opportunity and marketing strategies.

EUROPEAN BUSINESS
As an open economy the UK not only engages in international trade, its very survival depends on it. Despite having a sophisticated and highly productive agricultural sector we can feed only approximately 50 per cent of our population. This course aims to provide learners with an understanding of the importance of international trade and in particular UK trade with the European Union.
INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
This course will outline the tools required for formulating and evaluating the technology strategy in entrepreneurial start-ups. A key element of the programme is the critical evaluation of the gap between technology, innovation and commercial success as well as looking at the type of competencies and skills required to close such a gap.
Diploma Courses
LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS STUDIES
The qualification is focused on managing communication, business organisations in a global context, people management and finance, as well as an understanding of the research skills and personal development expected of a manager. It includes a broad range of highly relevant business and management subject areas, making it ideal for those who have started, or are planning to move into, a career in private or public sector business. The programme allows learners to acquire knowledge and understanding in a range of topics and to develop key skills they require to work in Business Management roles.
LEVEL 7 DIPLOMA IN TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
The qualification is designed for managers who have the authority and personal inspiration to translate organisational strategy into effective operational performance. The programme will provide learners with an advanced qualification that supports their development as managers within the international tourism and hospitality industry, with a lifelong-learning orientation. It will also provide learners with the ability to analyse complex management problems and to apply and adapt specialist skills and technical terminology to propose solutions to these problems.
