business-studies-level-3

Equivalent to a UK AS or A Level course, the Business Studies Level 3 Diploma provides an ideal step up for those wishing to pursue a Level 4 diploma or progress to an undergraduate degree at a leading UK university, or to anyone pursuing a career in private or public sector business.
This course provides learners with an in-depth understanding of the operations and structure of businesses. Delivered over the course of 6 months full-time study, the Level 3 Diploma focuses on the management, communication, and finance skills required to understand business in its global context. It covers key academic and research skills as well as the practical financial and IT kills essential to those in business.

We carefully select course tutors who not only have accredited teaching qualifications, but who have leading practical experience in the field of business and entrepreneurship. Additionally to this, students can expect field trips to renowned institutions and companies such as Oxford University, Cambridge University, and the BMW Plant in Oxford.

Course Structure:

  • Introduction to Research and Academic Skills (10 credits)
  • Using IT for Business (10 credits)
  • Introduction to Economics and Accounting (10 credits)
  • Introduction to the Business Environment (10 credits)
  • Introduction to Customer Service (10 credits)
  • Introduction to Marketing (10 credits)

Students can opt to extend these modules to 20 credits each (120 total) to progress directly to a UK university course. However, within ABC London, students may progress directly to Level 4 Business Management having completed the 60-credit course.

Entry Requirements:

  • Level 3 courses can be taught to anyone aged 18 or above. There are no specific entry requirements although our accreditation body asks that we ensure a suitable level of secondary education, similar to UK GCSEs.
  • If you are not from an English-speaking country, we require evidence that you are competent in English to a minimum of Common European Framework (CEFR) level B1, or IELTS level 4.5 in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
  • We can help with student visa applications for 6-month short-term study.
